Dr. med. Sigurd Pütter, MD
President and Owner
Dr. Sigurd Pütter, born 1942, studied medicine and joined the company in 1970. Initially he was in charge of the quality control laboratory. Following the death of his father, company founder Gustav Pütter, in 1977 he became the Owner-Manager of MEDICE. Dr. Sigurd Pütter is involved in a wide range of honorary posts. He is, for example, Honorary Senator of the University of Tübingen, Member of the Board of the Federation of the Pharmaceutical Industry e.V., Vice-president of the Southern Westphalian Chamber of Industry and Commerce, Chairman of the NRW State Health Care Initiative.
Dr. med. Katja Pütter-Ammer, MD, MPM

Dr. med. Katja Pütter-Ammer is a medical practitioner with additional qualifications as a Master of Pharmaceutical Medicine (University of Witten-Herdecke). After completing her studies she worked as a doctor at a university clinic in Munich. After this she carried out research at the Tufts University in Boston for two years during which time she also received the CSS (Certificate of Studies in Business and Administration) from Harvard University. She then switched to the pharmaceuticals industry where she worked in clinical research and in marketing. She began teaching at the University of St. Gallen in the Summer semester of 2002. In February of 2001 she joined MEDICE as Medical Director.
Dr. med. Dr. oec. Richard Ammer, MD, PhD

Dr. Dr. Richard Ammer, MD, PhD, doctorate in human medicine and graduate in business economics. Responsible at MEDICE for medicine, approvals, manufacturing, technology and new business devlopment. Studies in medice (Munich, Boston), clinical and scientific training (Harvard Medical School), further training as an internist (cardiology, nephrology) at the German Cardiac Center and University Clinic of Münster. Young Investigator Award 2001 in Basic Science (European Society of Cardiology). Co-ordinator of the BMBF competence network for cardio-vascular diseases (atrial fibrillation). Studied business economics (University of St. Gallen, Harvard Extension School), scientific worker at ITEM-HSG, doctoral degree in business economics/life science on growth strategies of pharmaceuticals companies, lecturer at the University of St. Gallen.
